Wine Tasting Benefit to Support the Historical Society of Woodstock's Building Fund

The Historical Society of Woodstock will host a wine tasting benefit for its building fund on
Saturday June 11 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Historical Society of Woodstock building on
Comeau Drive. Featuring a wide-variety of wines selected by wine specialists Dr. David Baggett

and Tina Grill, all proceeds from the event will go to assisting the Historical Society move towards
completion of its building expansion and facility improvement plans, including a new
handicap-accessible bathroom, electrical and lighting upgrades, foundation repair and kitchen and
storage space.

Dr. David Baggett is Professor Emeritus of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at Modesto
College of the Yosemite Community College District in California. Dr. Baggett taught wine
evaluation, produced and judged commercial wines, and established and managed a 14 acre
vineyard at the college’s instructional farm during his tenure from 1994-2014. Tina Grill is a
retired Massachusetts public school teacher of visual arts and was a sensory analyst on the
wine evaluation panel at E & J Gallo Winery in Modesto for seven years.

The evening's wine tasting will be complemented by a number of special appetizers. Entertainment
will be offered by Wild Swan, featuring both Irish and traditional English music. The evening will
also feature a silent auction where those in attendance will have the opportunity to bid on such items
as: a weekend in a charming Woodstock cottage, art work, Maverick Concert tickets, a case of locally
produced maple syrup, gift certificates from local restaurants, and many more Woodstock items.

Tickets for the event are $30.00 and are available at the door (reservations are not required for
this event). Tickets are also available online by going to www.historicalsocietyofwoodstock.org.

Tickets purchased online will be held at the door. In addition to simply enjoying the evening,
each person in attendance will receive their own wine glass with the HSW logo featuring
Overlook Mountain embossed on the glass.

The Historical Society of Woodstock is a 501(c)3 organization and has worked to preserve
Woodstock history since 1929. As an all-volunteer organization, the Society relies totally on the
support of the community to continue to fulfill its mission. Please join friends and neighbors for a
fun-filled evening that will support this important effort by the Historical Society of Woodstock.

Remember, it's your history.
